Ovarian cyst :
An ovarian cyst can be described as a small sac or growth that forms in the ovaries. The ovarian cyst can be referred to as a fluid-filled sac that forms in either or both of the ovaries. These ovarian cysts will be non-cancerous growths, and there are various types of ovarian cysts called functional ovarian cysts, which include follicular cysts and corpus luteum cysts. There are various other types of ovarian cysts, like dermoid cysts, cystadenomas, endometriomas, and ovarian cancer cysts. The symptoms that can be observed when there are ovarian cysts include bloating of the abdomen, pelvic pain, pain during sexual intercourse, trouble passing stools, irregular periods, painful periods, and frequent urination. The ovarian cyst can be diagnosed through ultrasound examination, pelvic examination, and a laparoscopy procedure, which can be done for the diagnosis and cyst removal at the same time. Ovarian cysts can subside on their own without any treatment. When the ovarian cysts are large in size, they will be treated with medications and surgical treatments, such as laparotomy, which will be a laparoscopic surgery, and the cysts will be removed.
