Night Blindness :
Night blindness, also termed as nyctalopia, is an eye problem that makes it difficult for a person to see in dark settings. The world seems darker, harder to focus on, or blurrier for people suffering from night blindness. Night blindness makes it difficult for individuals to drive at night, as there would be difficulties in adjusting between darkening landscapes and brighter sky, and thus interferes with everyday activities. The primary factors responsible for causing night blindness include cataracts, glaucoma, laser vision correction surgery like LASIK, genetic conditions like cone- rod dystrophy, vitamin A deficiency, congenital stationary night blindness, and retinitis pigmentosa. Night blindness is managed by treating the causative factor contributing to this condition. Night blindness disrupts how to see colors, causes blurry vision, and can make it harder to see during the day, too, affecting the vision.
