The common symptoms of nephrotic syndrome include albuminuria or large amounts (more than 3.5 grams) of the protein albumin in the urine, high fat and cholesterol levels in blood, swelling (edema) in legs, feet, ankles, hands, or face, low levels of albumin in the blood, loss of appetite, feeling unwell or sick, abdominal pain and foamy urine.
