Myomectomy :
Myomectomy can be referred to as a surgical procedure that is performed for the removal of fibroids in the uterus. Fibroids can also be referred to as leiomyomas and abnormal growths of connective tissues and muscle cells, and these can be non-cancerous growths. Myomectomy can be done when there are symptoms that occur due to fibroids, like irregular bleeding, pelvic pain, heavy bleeding during menstruation, and difficulty emptying the urinary bladder. Myomectomy can be helpful in preserving fertility. There are three types of myomectomy procedures: hysteroscopic myomectomy, minimally invasive laparoscopic or robotic myomectomy, and open myomectomy. In minimally invasive laparoscopic myomectomy, there are many types, such as single-port myomectomy, laparoscopic, or robotic myomectomy. The complications that can be noticed after the myomectomy will be infection, blood clots, damage to other organs, allergic reaction to anesthesia, and bleeding, which are very rare.
