What causes crohn’s disease?

The definitive cause of crohn’s disease is not known; crohn’s disease specialists believe it to be caused by a combination of environmental, bacterial, and immune factors. Previously, diet and stress were suspected to be the primary contributing factors. Still, now medical experts have acknowledged that these factors play a role in aggravating the existing condition but do not actually cause the disease.
