Urine is the liquid waste that is produced after the kidneys purify the blood. The urine of a healthy individual usually contains trace amounts of blood, which does not affect its colour. However, if an individual's urine has a pink or red colour, then it is said that they have blood in the urine.
An individual suffering from blood in the urine may experience other symptoms like increased urination and pain during urination.
