Dr. Vijay Dikshit, is one of the most experienced cardiac surgeons in India with more than 10,000 open heart surgeries with a very high success rate to his credit. He is known to have performed about 362 bypass surgeries in a very short span of time when bypass surgical procedures were in a nascent stage. He is also credited with being the most experienced in the latest mitral valve surgery which includes complete chordal preservation and artificial chordal reconstruction. He is highly experienced in emergency cardiac procedures as well as in state of the art surgical procedures such as Stentless Bioprosthetic Valve Replacement surgery for Aortic Valve Disease. He has received awards and felicitations from National and International organizations for his service to humanity and society. Dr. Vijay Dikshit is an alumnus of the King George Medical College, Lucknow, from where he received his MBBS, MS General Surgery, and MCh Cardio Thoracic Surgery degrees. He is currently working as a Senior Consultant Cardio Thoracic and Vascular Surgeon at Apollo Hospital, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad.
