Dr V M Shankar Reddy is a senior surgical oncologist with a combined clinical experience of around 23 years, who obtained his bachelor's degree in MBBS from SV Medical College, Tirupati in 2002, Diplomate of National Boards in General Surgery followed by Diplomate of National Boards in Surgical Oncology from Apollo hospitals, Hyderabad and Armed forces medical college, Pune in 2009 and 2012 respectively. He further did Fellowship in GI, Thoracic and Laparoscopic Oncology from Galaxy Care hospital, Pune in 2012 and Fellowship in Robotic surgery, MNAMS, FMAS, FIAGES, EFIAGES and FALBS.

Dr Shankar Reddy started his career as Senior Surgical Registrar at Apollo Hospitals in Hyderabad, and then continued to work as Consultant Surgical Oncologist at Apollo Hospitals in Hyderabad and at Bhimavaram Hospitals. He even dedicated few years in training young minds by working as Assistant Professor ESIC, Hyderabad and is currently working as Consultant Surgical Oncologist at Sumana Hospital in Kukatpally and at Malla Reddy Narayana Multispeciality Hospital in Jeedimetla.

His expertise includes treating wide range of cancers and performing surgeries such as Head and neck surgeries, Surgical Oncology, Laparoscopic Surgery, Cancer Surgery, Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery and many more. He contributed around 2 decades of life in practicing medicine and for that he received Times Healthcare Achievers Telugu States 2019-2020  and Dr A P J Abdul Kalam Health and Medical Excellence Award in April 2021.
