Paper Presentations
- “A flow cytometric and optical coherence analysis of the role of microparticles as determinants of plaque instability in acute coronary syndrome (FOAM study)”. The ongoing study exploring the role of Microparticles in CAD and their potential to be used as a biomarker. We are also trying to correlate global plaque burden as seen on IVOCT with the levels of microparticles and their pro-coagulant potential. This project was carried out in collaboration Great Ormond Street Hospital and Thoraxcenter- Erasmus MC- Netherlands.
- He was sub-investigator for several large randomized clinical trials; notably TALENT- EMPHASIS-HF- SOLID TIMI – 52 and IMPROVE-IT trials.
- He was also involved in a joint renal-cardiology research project titled “Cardiovascular parameters in pre and post renal transplant patients with end-stage renal failure”. This project was funded by BHF and was carried out by Nephrologists and Cardiologists at University Hospital of Coventry and Warwickshire in collaboration with counterparts at University Hospital of Birmingham.
