Dr. Nalinikanta Panigrahi, Neonatologist

Dr. Nalinikanta Panigrahi is an experienced Neonatologist with over two decades of clinical expertise in the field. He completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Berhampur University, Orissa, and later received his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Maharaja Krushna Chandra Gajapati Medical College and Hospital, Brahmapur. He further acquired his DNB in Neonatology from Rainbow Children’s Hospital.

He provides medical attention and care to newborn infants and treats diseases and disorders affecting them. Premature infants require care and assistance due to underdeveloped organs. They have a lower birth rate and are prone to Congenital malformations or birth disorders. Heart defects such as septal malformations or bradycardia, and lung defects are common and lead to respiratory issues. Some treatment options that can be employed are Continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), which are commonly referred to as ventilator treatments. Cooling therapy and light therapies are also employed based on the initial diagnosis. Neonatologists are experts in dealing with such issues.
