Dr. K Viswanath, Ophthalmologist

Dr. K. Viswanath is a renowned Ophthalmologist with over 40 years of experience in Ophthalmology. He completed his medical education from Kurnool Medical College, D.O from Kurnool Medical College, MS Ophthalmology from PGIMER, Chandigarh & M.Sc in Community Eye Health from the International Center for Eye Health, and the University of London, UK. He served as an Assistant Professor followed by Professor and HOD (Ophthalmology) at Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad for a brief period. He was awarded Professor Emeritus in Ophthalmology by Dr. N.T.R. University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada. He is involved in active research and has contributed to several books with more than 20 International publications in peer-reviewed journals. His areas of expertise include Diabetic Retinopathy and Retinopathy of Prematurity.
