Dr. Arun Kanala

Dr Arun Kanala is a senior Thoracic surgeon at Continental Hospitals in Gachibowli and Medicus Hospital, Nallagandla. He pursued his MBBS in 1996 from Kakatiya Medical College, Warangal, and a master's degree in MS General Surgery from Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad, in 2005. He did his super specialization in MCh in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery from Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad, in 2011 and a Clinical Fellowship in Thoracic Surgery from Harvard Medical School, USA, in 2013. Dr Arun Kanala is an eminent member of the American Thoracic Surgeon Association and the Indian Association of Cardio Thoracic Surgeons and in Association.

He holds a special interest in performing thoracic surgeries, and in doing so he gained decades old experience. Since 2013, he has been working as a Consultant Cardio Thoracic surgeon at various multispecialty hospitals like Citizen Hospitals - Hyderabad, Government Chest Hospital, and Yashoda Hospitals - Hyderabad. He specializes in performing surgeries related to the Lung, Chest wall, Pleural space, and also diseases related to thorax like Pleurisy, Pneumothorax, Hemopneumothorax, Pyothorax, and many more. Dr Arun Kanala worked in academics, too, and in doing so, he did a commendable job; for these efforts and contribution, he received the Best Teacher award from the Department of General Surgery at Osmania Medical College in 2007 and was Awarded Most Enthusiastic and energetic doctor for mass screening program in 2001.
