Phimosis :
Phimosis is referred to a condition when the foreskin of the penis cannot be retracted or pulled back. Typically phimosis is a painless condition but it can interfere with erection, sexual intercourse, urination, and personal hygiene. In Majority of young boys phimosis does not require any treatment as it resolves by the age of 18. If the condition persists in young men, it can be treated with both nonsurgical measures such as topical steroidal creams, gentle stretching exercises etc, and surgical intervention involving circumcision, super incision and sub-incision etc. Repeated urinary tract infection, trauma to the foreskin, rough handling of the foreskin, eczema, psoriasis, and foreskin infection are some of contributing risk factors of phimosis.
