Myocardial Infarction ( MI ) :
A myocardial infarction or a heart attack occurs when the muscles of the heart do not get enough blood, this lack of blood flow results in an inability to pump blood since the muscles begin to die due to the lack of oxygen. If this lack of blood flow is not corrected quickly, the individual can lose their life. An individual may feel chest pain, have trouble breathing, and feel nauseous or dizzy during a heart attack. The condition can be diagnosed with blood tests, ECG, CT scan, heart MRI, and other tests. Restoring normal blood flow to the heart is the top priority when a heart attack is detected. Usually, medications are administered to widen the arteries and temporarily improve the blood flow. Performing a procedure is usually the only long-term solution for the decreased blood flow.
