Heart Blocks :
The upper chambers of the heart coordinate the pumping of blood with the lower chambers of the heart by sending them electrical signals. A heart block is a condition in which the electrical signals are delayed or do not reach the lower chambers. This condition can cause symptoms like nausea, fainting, dizziness, palpitations, tiredness, and pain in the chest. The symptoms depend on the severity of the condition. There are several potential causes for a heart block, including other heart problems. The condition may also develop due to exposure to toxins, thyroid conditions, autoimmune diseases, infections, and genetic problems. A heart block can be detected using an electrocardiogram test. However, a doctor may also ask for other tests, such as an exercise stress test. The condition is usually treated by installing a pacemaker.
