Depression in Adults :
Depression in adults is a mood disorder that leads to extreme feelings of sadness for a long time and loss of interest in activities. There will be many types of depression in adults, which include disruptive mood dysregulation disorder (DMDD), persistent depressive disorder (PDD), clinical depression (major depressive disorder), depression disorder due to other health conditions, and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). There will be other forms of major depressive disorder, which include prenatal depression, postpartum depression, seasonal affective disorder, and atypical depression. There will be risk factors that can lead to depression in adults, like stroke, parkinson's disease, cancer, seizures, multiple sclerosis, macular degeneration, and chronic pain. The symptoms observed in depression in adults include being sad, irritated, insomnia, lack of appetite, suicidal thoughts, and self-harm. Depression in adults will be treated using medications, psychotherapy, and brain stimulation therapy.
