Ruptured eardrum :
Ruptured eardrum -Torn perforation of the tympanic membrane, also known as a ruptured eardrum. It is a type of rupture or tear in the thin semitransparent membrane separating the ear canal and the middle ear. Pain, hearing difficulty, and a feeling of fullness or pressure in the affected ear are among the symptoms. Most probable causes are infections include injury, variations in atmospheric pressure, or high-volume sounds. Some of these symptoms include sharp pains in the ear, fluid or blood drainage from the ear, lost hearing, tinnitus or ringing in the ear. Other symptoms that result include dizziness or a feeling of fullness in the ear. Keeping the ear dry as well as taking care to ensure that water is not pierced into the ear will be all very crucial elements in the entire healing process. Pain may also be well managed with over-the-counter pain medications. On the more serious ruptures, healing of the eardrum is rather poor. Surgical interventions like tympanoplasty would have to be done in order for the damage on the eardrum to be corrected.
