Renal artery stenosis (RAS) is a condition where the renal arteries which supply blood to the kidneys become narrowed (stenosed) or blocked , leading to reduced oxygenated blood flow to the kidney thus effecting its function (renovascular hypertension - a secondary type of high blood pressure).
