Nipple discharge :
Nipple discharge is a condition characterized by fluid leakage from the nipples of one, or both breasts, most commonly seen in women in late pregnancy, and immediately after childbirth. If the nipple discharge is clear, yellow, brown, green or white, and comes from both the breasts and from several milk ducts only upon squeezing, it is normal. However, it is concerning if the nipple discharge is bloody, and comes from only one breast on its own and is accompanied by symptoms like breast pain, swelling, redness, or changes to your nipple. The most common possible cause of nipple discharge are hormonal imbalances, pregnancy or breastfeeding, noncancerous cysts, medications like antidepressants and birth control pills, sexual arousal, nipple stimulation or friction from clothing, stress, and injury to the breast. It is also caused by medical conditions like breast infection, papilloma, pituitary gland tumor, severe underactive thyroid gland tumour, mammary duct ectasia, cancerous breast tumor and Paget's disease of the breast.
