Hand Fracture :
A hand fracture is called a broken bone in the hand. There will be injuries that will result in fractures of the hand, along with surrounding tissues, including tendons, ligaments, nerves, blood vessels, and muscles. There will be various types of hand fractures, like oblique fracture, transverse fracture, segmental fracture, spiral fracture, buckle fracture, comminuted fracture, and also other fractures, such as avulsion fracture, stress fracture. The symptoms that are noticed in a hand fracture will be swelling, pain, tenderness, difficulty in moving hands and fingers, and bruising. The causes that can cause a hand fracture will be sports injuries, falls, traumas, accidents, and also there will be some health conditions that can lead to a hand fracture, such as osteoporosis, endochondromas, and osteopenia. A hand fracture will be detected based on the CT scan, physical examination, and X-rays. The management advised for a hand fracture will be through immobilization of the hand with splints or casts, closed reduction, or surgery.
