Gall Bladder Surgery :
The gallbladder is a small organ that stores bile, which is a secretion of the liver. Sometimes, the bile turns into solid deposits, which can cause a blockage of the bile. Such blockages cause symptoms like nausea, vomiting and pain in the abdomen. These blockages can be treated with gallbladder surgery or cholecystectomy. Cholecystectomy is also performed to treat other problems in the gallbladder, such as inflammation and the development of polyps in the gallbladder. The surgery is usually done in a minimally invasive manner, meaning only a few small cuts are done to remove the gallbladder. A tiny video camera is inserted into the body via these small cuts. Tiny tools are guided into the body and the surgery is performed by viewing the video feed. Most patients return home on the same day of surgery.
