Fracture Treatment :
Fracture term refers to a cracked or broken bone, which can affect any person irrespective of their age. Different treatment approaches are employed to different fractures depending upon the severity, location, and type of the fracture. Fractures can be managed by medical management, physical therapy, and surgical interventions. The severity of the fracture can be diagnosed by an Orthopedic through X-ray, MRI, CT scan, and physical examination. Surgical intervention involves the correction of bone fractures by open reduction and internal fixation, arthroplasty, and bone grafting, while the nonsurgical approach involves the correction of fractures by immobilization through plaster casts, splits, braces, traction, and pain relief medications. Fracture healing depends upon the severity of the fracture, which lasts from a few weeks to months. Early consultation and diagnosis by an Orthopedic helps the patient for better treatment plans to avoid any complications like permanent disability, bleeding disorder or even death.
