Ewing Sarcoma :
Ewing sarcoma is a cancerous tumor that usually starts in the bone, which is a type of cancer that primarily affects children and young adults. It occurs most often in puberty during the rapid growth of the bones. It affects majorly the arms, legs, and pelvis. A person with ewing sarcoma experiences intermittent pain, which worsens at night, swelling In tissue and around the bones, lumps near the skin surface, persistent fever, broken bones without any injury, fatigue, and unexpected weight loss. The exact cause of Ewing sarcoma is unknown, but people between the ages of 10 to 20 years, sexuality(male), and race (white) are at higher risk. It can be diagnosed through blood tests, biopsies, X-rays, MRI, CT-scan, PET scan, and Bone scans. Treatment plans include surgery followed by radiation therapy and chemotherapy. Early consultation of Orthopedic or Oncologist is needed for better treatment plans and management to avoid any fatal complications like metastatic cancer or recurrent cancer.
