Duodenoscopy :
Duodenoscopy is a medical surgical procedure that is used for patients diagnosed with the gastroesophageal reflux disease. Moreover, it is also used for patients having gut issues like difficulty swallowing, upper GI bleeding, chest pain, and other related problems. This procedure is performed by a skilled doctor like a GI specialist or endoscopist. Before the procedure, patients were advised to avoid food and water intake for 6 to 12 hours, which provided a better view for the doctor and later infused with an intravenous solution to numb the throat area and treat the reflux issue. Additionally, patients have to be informed of any drug allergies to avoid complications during the procedure. Additionally, it is widely used for other GI related diseases. This total procedure is performed for about 15 to 30 minutes.
