Bed Wetting :
Bedwetting is also known as nocturnal enuresis. It is the condition in which urine is released involuntarily during nighttime while the child is asleep. This occurs between the ages of 4 and 6 years of age. There are types of nocturnal enuresis, such as primary and secondary nocturnal enuresis. The causes of this are not known, but some reasons might be the cause, such as hormone imbalance, small bladder, urinary tract infection, constipation, etc. It is diagnosed through physical examination, urine tests, X-rays to check kidneys, etc. In most of the children, bed wetting resolves on their own, if it is after the age of 12 years, need to consult doctor for the treatment of underlying cause of the bed wetting. There are measures to prevent bedwetting by avoiding liquids and fluids in the evening, clearing the bladder often, passing urine before bedtime, etc.
